Full-stack web developer in Verona, Italy

From the first pixel to the last query.

I design and build web applications end to end: Vue and React interfaces, PHP and Laravel back ends, MySQL and PostgreSQL underneath, and Redis wherever it saves a query.

GET/work200 OK184 ms

  1. nuxt (Interface)GET /work184 ms
  2. laravel (Application)ProjectController@index100 ms
  3. redis (Cache)GET projects:indexmiss1.2 ms
  4. postgres (Database)SELECT … FROM projects ORDER BY updated_at43 ms
  5. redis (Cache)SETEX projects:index 3000.9 ms
  6. laravel (Application)ProjectResource::collection42 ms
  7. vue (Interface)render <ProjectList>63 ms

A typical request through the apps I build. The cache misses, Postgres answers, Laravel caches the result for five minutes and Vue renders it.

Stack

Every layer of that request is work I take on, from the component on screen to the index the query hits.

  1. Interface

Server-rendered pages and single-page apps that stay quick on a mid-range phone and work with a keyboard.

    • Vue
    • Nuxt
    • React
    • Next.js
    • TypeScript
  2. Application

APIs, authentication, queues and the business rules behind them, written to be read by the next developer.

    • PHP
    • Laravel
    • Node.js
  3. Cache

Sessions, queues and expensive results kept out of the database, with invalidation planned up front.

    • Redis
  4. Database

Schemas, migrations and indexes that keep queries fast as the tables grow.

    • MySQL
    • MariaDB
    • PostgreSQL

About

I'm Francesco, a software engineer based in Verona. I've been building for the web since 2021, mostly Laravel back ends with Vue or React in front of them.

I like owning a feature from the migration to the button that ships it. Fewer handoffs means fewer surprises in production, and it makes me care about the parts users never see: the query plan, the cache key, the error message.
